If you had seen the poem beforehand, which is "Wake up, wake up in the universe", what do you feel?
Is it true? As in 100% or only a partial of truth? What do you think?
I remembered watching "Troy" and it really did teach me something out of it. Just like the phrase in White Pilgrim's poem, "Never stray along with superstition ; As it will lead you to self destruction", it did say that out loud.
If you have not watch that movie before, the main idea that i can see is superstition versus reality. The king of Troy is a very superstitious person. Whatever decisions that he made, he must consult the gods beforehand. I know that religion is something that one believe in, but intensive obsession of it will cause downfall of even a country.
Perhaps the famous story of the wooden horse in Troy can recall some of your hidden memories. The wooden horse is yet another strategy by the soldiers that wanted to attack Troy. As they knew perfectly well that the old king of Troy believe so much in gods and that he do not want to offend them, they created that, in which they hid the soldiers in it. thus, when the horse is brought into the city gates, they attacked it at nightfall. Eventually, the civilization of Troy was doomed as a result of their ignorance or perhaps, their intense belief in gods?
And just like what Brad Pitt said in the movie, "You serve the gods - the god of knowledge, yes? And what about the god of war?" If gods are good in nature, then why does there exist gods of evil as well?
What do you think of that then?
