Interesting...

I had just finished my psycholinguistic's class and it was really interesting because the topic for the day was this : Human mind. Of course, inevitably, this phrase "human mind" might evoke emotions such as "ugh, so gross" or "such a boring topic", or even "what is so interesting about a normal human mind?!" among the readers of this blog. But, I have not finish my sentence yet. The starlet for the day is actually the comparison between a guy's and a girl's mind. Did I manage to catch your attention now?

It is really interesting whereby a girl's left hemisphere is thicker than that of a guy. Here is the catch: girls think analytically and logically, have a higher tendency for language and computation; whereas guys have a thing for spatial reasoning, face recognition and music. Other than that, guys actually see a bigger picture than girls. This actually remind me of my dad.

As girls scrutinize information as detailed as they are able to, it becomes a big issue to them, even though it is only a petty stuff. I remembered once when I called my dad to asked for his advise. At that point of time, I went to the night market, bearing in my hand my room mate's money to buy her food. As I was afraid that I might mix up her money and mine that I held them in my hand, which went lost when I was chosing some pants. It was a mere RM10 and I looked frantically for it. After failing to enconter it that I called my dad. My dad told me that it was such a small financial problem. Why worry? Just think of it as an investment to avoid yourself from a bigger trouble later on.

Thinking back to it now, perhaps what my lecturer said is true. Guys do look at a bigger picture, and perhaps I was just too worried about losing my room mate's petty RM10.
