College (movie review)

As you can see from the title, the movie revolves around college. By that sense is that the phase between high school to college. Three high school guys went into Filmore University to apply for scholarship (out of 3 2 were)and having a great time, as of the experience of their fellow mate. Besides there this guy who had just been dumped by his girlfriend saying that he is too uptight, serious and boring.

Here is a question for you all out there: will you succumb under the pressure and change who you really are?

Well, for this guy, he did. Previously, he wanted to visit Filmore to apply for the scholarship that they are offering over there; however, due to the breakup, he wanted to prove to his ex that he was not at all boring.

Throughout the process, they were being played on as pledges by the fraternity's boys: stayed in the basement full of rats and darkness, accidentally went into a gay party of another fraternity (the fraternity boys planned it all out), being knocked out and stripped naked and taped to a statue where everyone can see, body shots not on a girl, but a guy, robbed them off with their cash and cards and planned out a party out of their money, threatened them with house chores (gross version), stripped them naked and run a pig stampede on them and dumping their clothes and belongings into the lake and some hanging on a rather tall tree. Sounds horrible, eh? The relationship between the boys was strained too because of all that had happened.

Eventually, they decided to get back on the fraternity boys and played the same game that was played on them. I was a good ending nevertheless where the main character finally see that he should not change himself into something he does not recognize.

Lessons here:
1) be yourself
2) do not play stupid and crazy deeds such as the pledges or stuff
3) do not fall under the pressure of peers, parents or even girl/boyfriends
