Computer is imperfect...

As I had said earlier, today is my battle day - to compete with my other peers to obtain the courses that we want, and that I hope everything will go smoothly, right? NO, it did not turned out the way I want... I'll tell you why...

Before we register, there is a period where we are suppose to do evaluation on the lecturers that taught us via the Net. That is fine with me. As I forgot to evaluate 22 semesters beforehand, I learnt my lesson and quickly do it. Now there is a slight problem here. I attended a faculty course entitled Bahasa dan Makna, and this consist of four lecturers altogether. But, as a person of logic, we will only go for our lecture and tutorial lecturer, right? However, I decided to ask advice from my friends: whether to evaluate all of them or not, just for precaution and I had different voice out. A friend of mine told me that she just evaluate those that taught her last semester and nothing happened. So I decided to take her word. This is where it started...

The so called artificial intelligence won't let me register with the excuse that I didn't do the evaluation. Another friend of mine was in major problem than mine. She was in industrial training last semester and they wanted her to evaluate. What is there to evaluate?!

If we were suppose to evaluate, at least let us enter the evaluation thing; yet, NO... If I have many choices, I wouldn't care less; however, a major course of mine clashes with 90% of the electives, which means if I don't get my desired courses, I'm doomed. And the stupid computer only can analyse without knowing the truth behind it. If the course doesn't use Internet and other resources, is it the lecturer's fault? So, when I put non applicable, I will get my lecturer into trouble; moreover, even when they are not my lecturers, I'm obligated to evaluate them and give them good-enough grades?! It's extremely absurd!!!!!

Now, just because my final project don't have a study location that I can't register that course!!!! It's so frustrating, you know?

In conclusion, however fast and accurate a computer is, the people behind it is us - human beings that control them. Perhaps they are those lazy bums that pour all the lecturers' names without considering the consequences. Perhaps it's convenient for them at that time, but today it sure got them into a big wok of frying oil...

P.S: And they want to vote via the Net?! Please, don't waste your money on it. Remember that it will lag when people swarm in just to vote. In the end, the results is still unfair. It's still not democracy...

Of course papers will be wasted for such things and computers does make it easy, but don't abuse them... Sometimes, they are too strict and straight to realise their mistakes, but we are the one who make the awful mistakes...
