I must admit one thing: I was never interested in politics until the point where my family members - my dad, mom and sister will be discussing such matters and yet I don't understand any of it... That was who I am...
However, last semester I had a change of my lifetime. For our Spanish course, we were to learn about their civilization, which includes politics. That's where I learnt of the differences and things like that. Still, Malaysia's politics is still beyond my reach. And two days before, another view of politics came into my life - a drama series called "Change" by Takuya Kimura...
Overall, it was a great series for me. If you think less of it, it's okay... Well, I might be too optimistic or perhaps idealist, but this show gives us hope that there would be a day where politics is really based on the people. That the politicians will use the same eyes as ours to look into the political situation, that they will use the same ears as ours to listen to the people's woes even though the voice is too feeble, that they will use the same hands as ours to work diligently to help our people, that they will use the same feet as ours to guide us to a greater path. By then, there will be no differences between the politicians and the people.
Unfortunately, there are still politicians that think highly of themselves just because their ranks seems noble, but that's not the way things should be. We are all human being, no different than you and me. We all have the same things - eyes, ears, hands and feet. So why the arrogance? Of course, there are those that willing to help the people no matter the cost is...
In conclusion, I learnt a lot from it and perhaps... I might go and vote... hehe... ^^
