If one is to feel regret, that would be a shame as he/she never think the story that is on the other side of a coin.
As I believe in the poem, "The road not taken" by Robert Frost (if I am not mistaken), there will always be two diverged roads or more upon whatever decision that one might take.
Perhaps if one choose route number 1 after considering much, it does not mean your journey will be smooth all throughout. If it is so, it is not life. Life is, how do you say, full of suprises: funny, terrifying, sweet, cruel - that is life.
So why do one need to feel remorse? There is no such need for that, except if you had murdered someone in the progress; but elsewhere, absolutely not for such a feeling. In a way, every route will come to a time where you will feel regret for all, only that the duration is different. Some might come as a fast and hard a blow, others drugs that cause a slow and painful death. Whichever that is, never feel REGRET for the things you have done. Besides, once a decision is made, it is really difficult to change the consequences most of the time, no?
