Which is better?

In the modern generation, young people especially do not like to talk on the phone. If they cannot see the person they are talking to, they would prefer messaging instead. Yet, i remembered a friend of mine, Jen Hann told me that he believes that it is far better if anyone receives a phone call on their birthday.

What am i trying to say here is: Which is better? Phone call or messaging?

I, for one, love to talk. If i have the time and brain(with this, i mean topics), i can talk hours and hours without stopping. However, when i do not have that kind of "gift" on a particular day, well, i would just be a listener. So, where is the problem? None in my opinion.

Maybe that is the reason for me to accept both phone call and messaging. But, just let us let the pros and cons in both these devices.

Phone call:
Pros:
1. you can express yourself better
2. any emotion are not hidden from your listener
3. level of intimacy is higher

Cons:
1. expenditure is higher (it might be RM0.36/ min)
2. sometimes emotions are overpowering
3. what will happened if you do not have anything to say? answer is .......
(expenditure higher than ever)

Messaging:
Pros:
1. Cheaper
2. Nobody will know what is your expression, whether you are angry or such

Cons:
1. misunderstanding happens (when the reader reads the message with a different tone)
2. level of intimacy decreases

In short, both of them have their individual pros and cons. Therefore, we can use them wisely and accordingly to our desires, objectives and such. I welcome any comments.
